Group M Vietnam Office

KAZE Interior Design Studio created a new office space in, what was at the time, the tallest building in Vietnam. A prestigious address in District 1, HCMC. 

This location is home to the world’s largest marketing agency, Group M. They have 2,500 square meters spread over three floors. Our idea was for “one skin” to run throughout the offices to represent an umbrella over the 7 agencies included in the group. We came up with two rules for this design. Rule number one was that we would not allow any perpendicular angles. The large architectural facade being curved meant that visually and physically you lost square meters. Using odd shapes for the seating would mean we could fit more in. The second rule was to have only one skin. We chose Russian birch wood. All surfaces were made up of triangles and tilted surfaces.
